Local SNT Barkingside Visits Preschool to Promote Safety Awareness

Today, officers from Local SNT Barkingside visited a preschool on Beehive Lane to engage with young children and deliver important safety messages in a fun and interactive way.

The session focused on key topics including stranger danger, road safety, knowing who to turn to for help, and staying safe when out and about. Officers spoke with the children about recognising trusted adults, crossing roads safely, and what to do if they ever feel worried or unsafe.

These early conversations help build confidence, awareness, and positive relationships between young people and their local police officers. It was fantastic to see the children actively participating, asking questions, and demonstrating their understanding of how to stay safe.

Thank you to the staff and pupils for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to continuing our work with schools and community groups across Barkingside to help keep our young people safe.
